Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt able to express about his deep grief.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can now put my grief into words," shared Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the production, commenting that he doesn't recollect "a single day without joy".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a different piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles court official agreed to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A court order put a embargo on the investigation to limit the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a record noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

After the deaths, public personalities expressed divergent responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the critics last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan described the statements as "shocking" and suggested they showed a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an adviser should have acted when the decision to comment on the passing was made.
